eCMAS ABACUS, as the name indicates, is an easy way for solving complex arithmetic calculations in blistering speed. We must admit the fact that many of us hate mathematics .We found mathematics either a boring subject or a tiring one. Though we tried in many ways to make maths simple yet we were not successful. We keep doing it for our children also. But still we are not able to find a solution."

eCMAS ABACUS explores the student’s potential. It has 10 grades. A grade is taught in three months with two classes every week each for 2 hours duration. At the end of the course the child becomes a master of abacus and will be able to do even large sums of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with ease and lightening speed. Above all the child can mentally calculate the sums of even fractions and square roots without any help of any external device. The course not only enriches the child’s calculating speed and accuracy but also stimulates the other parts of the brain which involves creativity, analysis, independent thinking, research oriented approach etc.

eCMAS ABACUS has conducted many direct and online competitions both in the National and International level with participants over 3000 students. It prepares the student for national and international abacus competitions. It is being taught in various schools also apart from the independent course centres.

Any child aged between 4 and 12 can join the course. Development of Brain

Abacus is an age old tool used in many parts of the world on those days. Abacus is a tool with beads and rods each having specific value. Children have to use both their hands to do the sums. Our brain has two hemispheres. The right hemisphere controls the left side motor action of our body and in the same way the left hemisphere controls the right side motor action. The left portion of our brain is responsible for our logical, abstract, language and analytical skills. Our right brain is responsible for reasoning, creativity, emotion and music. Memory and concentration will be taken care of by both the hemispheres.

Human beings normally engage only one side of their body for all motor actions. Either they are left handed persons or right handed persons.- Because of that, only one part of the brain is constantly working and the other portion lies dormant or idle. By giving work to both the hands the entire part of the brain gets activated and by that we can exploit the full potential of the brain .

MATHEMATICS MADE EASY

Abacus is a distinct method of calculation in which we do not use numbers alone. We make use of the beads and the answers we get are only relative position of beads. For example, if we want to add 66 plus 44 numerically, we normally add 6+4, carry forward and then 6+4. The answer we say from seeing numbers. But in abacus we use beads in a particular way and the answer we say from the position of beads. In fact this procedure not only improves mathematics but also improves the image memory of the child to a great extent. Seeing the mathematics only as numbers makes it less interesting whereas abacus helps to see the images instead of numbers which makes it easier to understand.

IMPROVES MEMORY POWER

In abacus the child has to constantly keep in memory of the beads position while calculating the sums. For example, if the child is asked to calculate 973+ 872+ 629+ ....... and so on, after having added 973 and 872, the child has to keep in memory the position of the beads. By practice it becomes easy for the children. This process helps the child to improve his visual and auditory memory. The child gets ready for his whole career development and higher studies. A specific research studied with 50 students aged between 5 and 12 of average IQ from regular schools and another 50 students of the same age group from an abacus institute showed that the abacus learners had a better visual and auditory memory when compared to non- abacus learners.Another research found that abacus training can help to cultivate and to improve their intelligence.

PROGRAM

eCMAS ABACUS PROGRAM is for the children between the age group of 4 and 12. The program is divided into 10 grades. The normal period for an average student to complete a grade is 3 months. The child has to attend two classes per week as per his convenience, preferably during weekends. Each class has two hours duration. But the two hours will include lot of fun, activities and challenges. Almost majority of the students find it very interesting to attend the class though it is a weekend.

We do not receive any complaint that the child is not willing to come to the class. As a mark of appreciation and recognition of the child’s potential and effort, a certificate will be issued to every student after completion of every level. The most attractive and important which makes the students to attend the classes voluntarily is that eCMAS ABACUS prepares every student with individual attention and care for the national and international competitions.
